Singapore has had a reputation of being somewhere you could experience Asia without the risks of Bali Belly, Thailand Trots, Delhi Belly etc. Any country where feeding pigeons will land you a $US500 fine, walking in the nude at home is illegal, and selling gum could land you two years in jail is probably pretty safe even for the most xenophobic traveller.

We have spent lots of time in Kuala Lumpur or KL as everyone calls it and always enjoy our stays. It is an easy place to get around be it by taxi or public transport though during rush hours a good sense of humour and long patience is essential. If you are staying in the city centre or KLCC then the most efficient way to get around is to walk. .

We have been travelling to Kathmandu for the last 25 years or so and still it keeps drawing us back. Sure, during Summer it is dusty and dirty and Winter becomes muddy and dirty but there is just something about it that gets under your skin and keeps drawing us back. We watched in sadness as the 2015 earthquake destroyed some of the irreplaceable temples and buildings.

As Remote Nurses we get to experience places and cultures not many people have the opportunity to. A lot of the communities we work in are no-go areas for "normal" people as there are restrictions on access and even if permission is granted there is no accommodation available for visitors unless you are completely self sufficient. Even then you would more than likely have to camp some distance outside the community.
